The reception the hared of the hotel

Our reception staff is the right contact point for our guests from the first contact by phone or e-mail. They are also your contact persons during your stay with us and are always available for your. If the guests have forgotten the flowers for their wedding day, the birthday cake for their loved ones or perhaps the ski socks for the children, our reception staff will provide a quick and reliable solution. It is our special concern to offer our guests service at the highest level, that is why you will meet well-trained, conscientious and courteous professionals at the reception.

At the Hotel Sonnenburg, five highly motivated young employees are currently working hand in hand at the reception. We make sure that the team members support each other. Thus, the early morning service sometimes takes over late duty tasks and vice versa. Those who know Oberlech, know that it is a car-free area during winter. This makes the efficient and smooth organisation of arrivals and departures very important. This also includes good coordination with the caretakers and the mountain railway staff.

The administration of the daily receipts and the cash book is also the responsibility of the Sonnenburg reception. In order to be able to offer our guests a quick service, our reception team also takes care of the table reservations for our guests also at an other Restaurant. Our colleagues at the reception will be pleased to make recommendations for these as well.

The service team highly motivated and well trained

The well-being of our guests during their stay in the Sonnenburg is our highest credo. At breakfast, during the day in the lobby, at lunchtime on the sun terrace and in the evening in the restaurant, our service staff fulfill every wish of our guests. With love they decorate the buffet, conjure up a festive glow on the table and are always happy to advise you on your choice of wine.

The service team at the Hotel Sonnenburg is also committed to provid a highly individual service to each guest. Food intolerances, special diets and special wishes are absolutely no problem for our kitchen and service team.

It is a great challenge for every single service employee to serve around 600 guests at lunchtime between 12 and 17 o’clock. Our sun terrace offers about 300 seats and enables two seatings every day. Here it is important to serve our guests quickly, elegant and with high quality. In the evening the guests dine in the restaurant in an elegant and dignified atmosphere. We also attach great importance to wine service and first-class service.

Our culinary team also offers all guests with special dietary requirements a culinary unforgettable holiday. Even with vegan delicacies, our kitchen conjures up convincing enjoyment.

A successful day at the Hotel Sonnenburg begins with your smile over our generous breakfast buffet: freshly brewed coffee, freshly squeezed fruit and vegetable juices, our own orange press, smoothies, fragrant bread and pastries, jams, honey, regional sausage and cheese specialties, more than eight types of tea, various muesli as well as milk and yoghurts from local farmers. Our large egg menu promises freshly prepared egg dishes according to your wishes.

For lunch our kitchen team spoils about 600 hungry guests on the sun terrace. They will conjure up exquisite delicacies from soup with sliced pancakes to selected steaks. Also in the “Crêperie Schüna” our chefs give their best and serve crêpes of the finest kind. Numerous external guests like to come to the sun terrace at lunchtime.

In the evening our kitchen team cooks a multi-course menu of choice for our house guests, which also includes vegan dishes. With their distinct sense of regionalism and fine details, our culinary team always leaves a lasting, positive impression.
In the evening, our kitchen team also provides culinary highlights à la carte in our Crêperie Schüna. Here the ladies and gentlemen of our kitchen brigade demonstrate their refined culinary interpretations. From tomahawk steak to fondues and crepes, our guests will not lack for anything.

The caretaker more than just a man for everything

Under the competent direction of Tamas Enyingi, our in-house technicians use their skilful fingers and technical know-how to take care of a wide variety of manual and technical tasks.

Our caretakers simply feel responsible for our house – and for making it a feel-good hotel in the Arlberg for you. They not only take care of minor and major repairs in your room, they are also responsible for the entire hotel. Furthermore, they provide active support for renovation work on the house. Our staff will also be happy to collect your luggage from the gondola and bring it to your room. They perform excellent coordination work: wherever helping hands are needed, the gentlemen are there. Our beautiful sun terrace is daily seated by our caretakers with 300 seats and is dismantled again every day.

They take care of repair, care and maintenance everything in and around the Sonnenburg, in summer and winter. They take care that the Sonnenburg is cleared of snow and that you have free passage.

One thing, however, makes our technical services team unique: the logistics competence. The hobbyhorse of team leader Tamas Enyingi is the underground tunnel system that connects the all buildings of Oberlech. This tunnel system is used to transport all goods and products to and from the site. Logistics must therefore always be the top priority – efficient and precise organisation is required. Our team of in-house technicians is called the “Oberlech rally crew”. Every minute they are on the road under the ground in golf cars and ensure punctual and scheduled deliveries. You can hardly imagine how much precision and know-how is behind our departure and arrival management. Radio communication between our crew, the tunnel system team and the mountain railway must be flawless.

But our team also knows all about the technology and seating in the congress centre of the Hotel Sonnenburg. The gentlemen prepare the conference rooms according to your wishes. If you would like to be part of this team, you should definitely bring along accuracy, commitment, an affinity for technology and a certain overview.

The housekeeping the diligent workers in the background

Our housekeeping department is dedicated to cleanliness in the house. All public areas as well as rooms in the house are kept clean in strict compliance with the HACCP law. Our floor staff also take care of the furnishing of your rooms, for example with the pillows you choose from our pillow menu. With great precision and care they create the feel-good ambience in the Sonnenburg.

 

All for a satisfied smile

To ensure that our guests really feel completely at home in the Hotel Sonnenburg, our housekeeping staff is dedicated to the cleanliness and the small details of the house. So that you can really enjoy the first moments in your room, our hard-working ladies will put a fresh fruit plate on your room. They cover your beds carefully and design your room with attention to every detail. Even the little guests of the Sonnenburg consider them with their age appropriate equipment.

Our housekeeper sewed our information folders for guests herself and she designed badges for bathrobes for identification purposes so that they cannot be mixed up. Every flower and plant in the house is carefully cared for; every decoration is moved into position daily. – All this gives the Hotel Sonnenburg a flair of being at home.

An important workload is handled daily by the laundry team. Our “laundry manager” makes sure that bed linen, towels, table linen and much more radiate with freshness. No stain is safe from him and he takes over the cleaning of guest linen as well as personal linen. Many employees, such as our kitchen crew, receive freshly washed work jackets every day.

And at the start of the season, before our team arrives, all staff rooms are thoroughly cleaned.

Your first contact with the Sonnenburg is usually with Annabell Weber’s team. In the marketing, sales and events department everything revolves around reservations, planning, advertising and organisation. At present the team consists of four highly motivated employees, each of whom takes care of the different main areas. All together they make sure that your booking wish comes true.

Are you planning a company event or a family celebration? Our colleague from the “Events” department will be at your side from the very first minute, will find competent solutions and has years of experience with various group events.
