Hypoallergenic family hotel in Arlberg

In the five star Hotel Sonnenburg in Oberlech am Arlberg everything is specially designed to meet the demands of allergy sufferers. Our guests can enjoy the highest level of cuisine and the most modern facilities in their rooms, which, since December 2016, have been equipped with hypoallergenic fabrics.

According to experts, the number of people with food allergies has more than doubled in the past ten years. The German Allergy and Asthma Association (DAAB) estimates the number of affected people to be more than 6 million in Germany alone. Allergies do not stop for the holiday season. In order to meet this growing demand, Hotel Sonnenburg has taken measures to meet the needs of allergy sufferers and hygiene-conscious guests:

Each of the 43 new rooms and suites in the Stammhaus have been fitted with a special carpet, which is ideal for allergy sufferers due to its special weave.  Medical studies have shown that a well-maintained carpet can be more hygienic than other floorings.  In addition, each room has a bed system with bedding made from “Tencel”, a fabric which provides natural protection from dust mites.

Sonnenburg serves individually prepared meals:  the nutritionally-trained kitchen team has been dealing intensively with food allergies and intolerances for years, in order to offer each guest a wide range of dishes.  Throughout the day there is the possibility to choose from a wide range of gluten free and lactose free food.  The Sonnenburg staff will find individual solutions to meet the personal demands of each holiday guest.
