Burgwald Trail: For adrenaline junkies of all ages

  • Easy line for beginners with branches for advanced riders
  • Elevation difference: 480 m
  • Length: approx. 3,200 m
  • Duration: approx. 30 min
  • Terrain: forest floor, gravel, North Shore elements, banked turns

The Burgwald Trail in Lech is Vorarlberg’s first official freeride and enduro trail – and one of the most varied mountain bike tours in the Arlberg region. The Petersbodenbahn cableway, just a few steps away from the Hotel Sonnenburg in Oberlech, takes you directly to the start. From the mountain station, you can get straight into the flow.

With the Lech Card, you can use the mountain cableways without restriction in summer. Taking your bike up and down the mountains has never been this easy – ideal for anyone who wants to explore the Austrian Alps on a mountain bike.

Fun for all levels

The various difficulty levels on the trail are suitable for all riding skills and ages:

  • Blue = easy
  • Red = hard
  • Black = extreme

Beginners follow the continuous easy line, while experts branch off to more technically demanding sections. Children can also safely learn the ropes here – turning a family holiday in Lech into a little mountain bike adventure on the wild trails of the Arlberg. Banked turns and wooden curves, North Shore elements, drops and tricky passages guarantee fun and variety.

Our highlights:

  • the 50-metre-long Anaconda North Shore element
  • the Skinny Boardwalk
  • the Patrese Jump followed by a double road gap
